Both had excellent color payoff and had smooth, even application.
At Rite Aid and Walgreens I saw the All Access Beauty Coloricon eyeshadow collection by Wet n Wild. It is a limited edition collection. I was very surprised to see this because it was released at least 6 weeks after the All Access Beauty bronzer and nail polish summer collections. I guess better late than never. They retail for $2.99 each at Rite Aid and $3.99 at Walgreens. Below is an orangey peach, brown and pink combo called 'Standing my Camp-Ground'. The colors were very soft and smooth to apply. They had good pigmentation. Below is a champagne, purple and periwinkle combo. This is the first one I bought. The colors were soft with smooth application. The last 2 Coloricon eyeshadows I bought were a sand, chocolate and orange combo and a yellow, turquoise and hot pink combo. Both had excellent color payoff and had smooth, even application. The Wet n Wild Coloicon shadows are always a great bet for quality budget eyeshadows. I like their powder eyeshadows better than brands like Maybelline and Revlon. I definitely recommend any of these trios, especially if you like color shadows.

A Sinful colors Halloween display was spotted at Rite Aid. From what I could see most of them were permanent collection or previously available in limited edition collections except for one. I picked up Pumpkin Spice which is a red and gold glitter polish. It was available in avast falls collection. I love this polish. I have one from last year but I used it so much that it was hard to get the polish out. If you have the time, building up 4 or 5 layers of the polish alone makes a beautiful, sparkly, fall nail. It has smooth application with great glitter payoff. The new polish is a black and green glitter polish called 'Cauldron Couture'. It looks like it has a colored base but it's really clear with multi sized green and black hexagon glitter. It is very glitter dense but has good application. The first 2 swatches are on their own with no base color. The last 2 are over base colors. Autumn spice over gold and Cauldron over a pale blue.
I've been very excited since Rite Aid put out massive amounts of new cosmetic displays this week. There have also been great Rite Aid facebook coupons and sales this week. I also got very lucky with clearance finds.
I paid around $15 total and received $5 Up Rewards for my Revlon purchases and $10 Up Rewards for the lip extravaganza deal currently going on. This week there are some fantastic sales at Rite Aid. Maybelline and Neutrogena cosmetics are 40% off. Revlon lip products are $6.99 each with $1 Up Reward bonus. Also if you spend $15 on Sally Hansen you get $5 Up Rewards for use on next purchase.
There are some great Video Value Coupons on Riteaid.com that apply to these sales. Plus you can use a manufacturer coupon with the Rite Aid coupon. At Rite Aid I picked up Neutrogena Healthy Skin makeup ($13.95), Revlon Colorstay Moisture Renew glosses ($9.99 each), Maybelline Deam Blush Bouncy ($8.29), Sally Hansen miracle nail thickener ($7.99), Maybelline BabyLips Crystal ($4.19), Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polish ($3.19), Neutrogena Shine Control Powder ($14.99),Sally Hansen Triple Shine polish ($4.99), Sally Hansen Insta Dy Matte polish ($5.49), Fergie Wet n Wild Nail Polish ($3.49) and Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish ($7.99) Total retail cost of the items I bought was $94.50. After sale prices, store coupons, manufacturer coupons and store rewards I paid $20.17 for all the makeup below. I hit a major clearance Jackpot at the Rite Aid near my summer cottage. They recently redid the inside of the store. I'm assuming this was a reason for all the ridiculous clearance items. The first part of my haul is the Physicians Formula finds. The green eye and purple eyeliner boxes were not on clearance. They are $11.95 each. But with a BOGO Free sale and 2 $3 coupons the cost for $23.90 dollars worth of eyeliners was $5.95. I also used 2 $3 coupons again and got the brown and blue boxes of eyeliners for $5.95. So in total I spent $11.90 for $47.80 worth of eyeliners. I love Physicians Formula eyeliners! I bought these separately before the clearance haul and used a $10 Up Reward coupon so I really only paid $1.90 for 12 eyeliners. A Mineral Wear Talc-Free Primer was originally $12.97 and on clearance for $2.72. An Organic Wear mascara was originally $9.99 and was on clearance for $2.43. The mascara was in a BOGO free box so there were 2 mascaras in the box for $2.43. Cover Girl Clump Crusher and Lash Blast Luxe were originally $8.99 and were on sale for $2.24 each. I used 2 $1 off Cover Girl MFC so I paid $1.24 each. I was so surprised to find these Kiss Nails on clearance. I bought and reviewed a pair of the Gel Fantasy Ready to Wear nails the week before. These are the best ready to wear nails I have ever used. They are sturdy, natural looking, have beautiful designs and don't come off until you remove them with polish remover. They lasted for 6 days for me and then I had to take them off because I was having.nail painting withdrawal. These are normally $7.99 and were on clearance for $1.99 One of the newer NYC gloss crayons was on clearance for .74 cents. This Wet n Wild bronzer blush was originally $3.99 and was on clearance for .99. I have wanted to try the Wet n Wild Mega Glo bronzers for a while and I'm happy I found it for only .99 I found 2 Sinful Colors nail polishes for .49 each. (Regularly $1.99) One was a creamy dark yellow called 'Pull Over'. The other was a rich royal purple called 'Go Go Boots'
One day I go to Rite and they have 2 or 3 new cosmetic displays and the next day I go to Rite Aid and its like the magical makeup elves worked overtime to stock the display shelf with wonderful new cosmetics.
But there is one thing that boggles my mind. Why the Halloween displays now? There were 2 new Sinful Color displays at Rite Aid. One was a mix of permanent and new colors and the other one appeared to have all new colors except for the clear top coat. I picked up one color from the Silk + Satin display. These polishes have a satin matte finish. Then when you apply the clear coat it has a 'silk' texture. They show it by just applying clear polish to the tips for a silk/satin French manicure.
The other 2 colors were new micro glitter polishes. Each polish was $1.99. The forest green micro glitter is called 'Vintage', the turquoise satin color is called 'Real Teal' and the pale purple micro glitter is called 'Charmed'. The colors are swatched below the polishes. With the satin turquoise shade, I did one nail with just the satin polish and on the other I used clear polish on the tips. At The Rite Aid down the street they had an explosion of new displays. One of the new displays was a Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal moisturizing lip balm.
There were 5 or 6 different colors. I chose a purple one called 'Beam of Blush'. It has a nice bubble gummy scent. I swatched it below. It has a sheer rose color with tiny iridescent sparkles. It is very subtle and sheer on the lips. It gives a hint of color and sparkle. I like the subtlety of the glitter; it doesn't look like Im wearing my daughters princess chap stick. It is very soft and moisturizing on the lips. It contains vitamin e and claims to give 8 hours of hydration. It has definitely moved up my list of lip balms. I love the hint of color with sparkle. ($3.99). This week at Rite Aid if you have the new displays from Physicians Formula, you could get 2 cosmetics for $5.95 instead of $24.
On the new Physicians Formula shelf display there are cosmetics with $3 off coupons that you can peel off. Physicians Formula is BOGO Free at Rite Aid. So I brought up 2 cosmetics priced $11.95 each. I gave the 2 $3 peel off coupons to the cashier. The cosmetics rang up BOGO Free ($11.95 total) then took off $6 from the coupons. The total then became $5.95. I picked up a Nude themed Kajal liner set and Eyeshadow palette. I really love their Kajal liners. The colors are bold and don't wear off. I was really excited when I walked into Rite Aid the other day. There was a small display of Real Technique brushes. There was a starter face and eye brush set and 2 single powder and foundation brushes. I decided on the starter eye brushes. This is a 5 brush set. It comes with a case that doubles as a brush stand. I have never used Real Technique brushes before but have heard great things about them. There is a brow brush, a blender, a detailer, a crease and a base color brush. The set was $17.99. I have a Gold Member discount so I got 20% off of that. I use makeup brushes at least twice a day so it was worth the investment if these brushes are as good as everyone says.
So if you don't like near an Ulta or don't want to pay shipping charges, check out your local Rite Aid to look for Real Technique brushes. This week was more of a practical purchase week. I did get some beauty deals but there were not too many reward generating beauty sales. These type of haul's are great to pick up seasonal items, daily staples and to stuff to stockpile. We are moving soon so Im getting as much as I can of everyday things to help us with saving money in the new place.
The total of my haul is around $140.00. With store coupons, manufacturer coupons, and store rewards my total came to around $25.00. I also received $34 worth of store rewards. So technically my trip was free plus I got $9 for next trip. I rarely stop at this Rite Aid but I was in the area for a meeting so I stopped on my way home. Holy clearance Batman! There were clearance sales in a lot of beauty sections like NYC, Wet n Wild and Pristige. Then I found 4 standing cardboard tables with 75% off clearance signs. They only had a small beauty section but I was able to pick up a few discontinued items. I picked up cosmetics from Rimmel, Cover Girl, Essie, Jessie's Girl, Color Club and Sally Hansen. This French manicure duo by Rimmel was .99. I used a $1 MFC so I got it for free. It is a sheer pink with a base/top coat.
This was a good week to pick up Physicians Formula at CVS or Rite Aid. I picked up 2 at CVS and 2 at Rite Aid. Maybelline was also $2 off at Rite Aid. At CVS My total came to $84 and after manufacturer coupons, store coupons and store rewards my bill came to $14.46.
There are some pretty good beauty deals at Rite Aid this week. I took advantage of coupons and my 20% off gold member discount to pick up some beauty items for a great price. I think I ended up spending $13 dollars for $50 worth of products. I received $15 in Up Rewards so basically I got the items for free plus $2 towards my next purchase. I picked up 2 of the spring colors from the recent NYC displays. There is a soft pink called Sunset Park Pink and a pastel blue called Robins Egg Blue. They retail for $1.99 each. With my 20% discount they came to $1.59. I had 2 $1 off NYC coupons so they cost me .59 each. If you spend $10 on NYC you receive $5 Up rewards for next purchase. If you spend $10 on Eco tools you receive $4 Up Rewards. I purchased a retractable Kabuki brush for powder, blush or Bronzer. ($6.99) and a flat foundation brush ($6.99) They were buy one get one 50% off. I also had a $1.50 off 2 coupon from coupons.com After my darling 21 month old daughter was playing makeup with mommy, I found my nude palette crumbled. She must have dropped it a few times. But its ok, I bought a new one today. This time I bought the 'Warm Nude' palette. I like using it as a bronze highlighter. It adds color and shimmer. ($13.95) This product just came out and I was fortunate to find it in the clearance bin. I guess when they only have a few left from seasonal displays they put it in the clearance section. This is a BB bronzing lotion that gives the benefits of a BB ream with a glowing bronze finish. It retails for $14.99 and I got it on clearance for $3.73.
